Product summary
Tubular jars are bi-directional mechanical jars used when the jarring action of standard link type Spang jars could be impeded by wire, debris or other foreign substances in the pipe.
Tubular jars can also be used with tool strings deployed inside large tubing or casings, where conventional Spang jars may be prone to lateral buckling or deform due to scissoring.
The effect of a given jarring action will depend on the speed of movement, stem weight, the jar’s stroke length, tubing size and deviation, fluid viscosity and well pressure.
Hunting Tubular Jars are available in all common industry tool string sizes and are manufactured with either sucker rod or integral quick connections as per customer requirements
Features
Available in 20” and 30” stroke lengths.
Benefits
Ideal for use in wells with suspected debris.
Better choice for use in large ID tubing and casing.
