Mechanical Link Jars, also referred to as “Spang jars” are designed to act like a sliding hammer.
Utilising the weight of the Stem Bars, located immediately above to convey powerful jarring impacts, bi-directional impact forces (jarring actions) are achieved by controlling the direction and speed of the Slickline at surface
The effect of a given jarring action will depend on the speed of movement, stem weight, the jar’s stroke length, tubing size and deviation, fluid viscosity and well pressure.
Mechanical Link Jars are available in all common industry tool string sizes and are manufactured with either sucker rod or integral quick connections as per customer requirements
