Hydrostatic Bailers
Removes debris which has settled on a subsurface control preventing retrieval by regular intervention methods
Product summary
Hunting Slickline Hydrostatic Bailers are designed to remove debris which has settled on a subsurface control preventing retrieval by regular intervention methods.
The hydrostatic bailer is used when debris cannot be removed with a normal sand/pump bailer assembly.
The hydrostatic bailer’s upper section consists of a chamber sealed at surface atmospheric pressure, complete with a relief plug at the top and shear piston subassembly on the bottom. The piston is pinned to the bottom sub prior to deployment.
Jarring down shears the pins retaining the piston. The pressure differential between well pressure and the atmospheric pressure chamber move the piston, creating a vacuum drawing debris into the Bailer.
Hunting Hydrostatic Bailers are available in all common industry tool string sizes and are manufactured with either sucker rod or integral quick connections as per customer requirements
Features
Pressure relief valve at top of bailer.
Shear pins can be changed to adapt activation.
Benefits
Vents well pressure when rising to surface.
Prevents accidental activation when passing flow control devices
