EMT-Electromagnetic Tools

Measuring casing wall thickness through an array of miniature sensors

Product summary

Our Electromagnetic Thickness Tools (EMT) have been designed to measure casing wall thickness. The power is supplied and the signals are transmitted through mono-conductor cable.

The EMT includes an array of miniature sensors. Each sensor obtains one magnetic variation signal. All of the data from the twelve sensors are transmitted through the telemetry cartridge to the surface to be presented in log records. The EMT must be centralized during operation, and combined use with the multi-finger caliper is recommended. Special interpretation software is provided for interpretation of EMT data only or for combined interpretation of EMT and multifinger caliper measurements. Three-dimensional imaging and outout may be realized.

  • EMT16

12 padded sensors determine the exact location of damage and putting in a single string of casing

  • EMT24

Measure the remaining wall thickness in multi-casing applications in one run.
