Hunting’s Non-Explosive Opti-TEK™ Tubing Cutter Enters Commercial Deployment

Hunting’s award-winning Opti-TEK™ Slickline Tubing Cutter is now supporting multiple commercial well intervention campaigns across the North Sea, providing a non-explosive alternative to conventional explosive tubing cutting methods.

The cutter combines a compact tool diameter and broad cutting range with an operating model that gives customers greater flexibility offshore. Hunting trains service company personnel to operate the equipment directly, enabling customers to deploy the cutter through their own trained service teams and reducing on-board personnel and associated offshore costs.

Its compact, non-explosive design also simplifies transport and handling, easing the logistics of offshore intervention campaigns. Downloadable surface data provides confirmation of a successful cut.
