Championing Change:

Hunting Aberdeen's 2024 Commitment to Mental Health Charities.

In Aberdeen, a remarkable movement is underway in 2024, spearheaded by the dedicated offices of Badentoy and Fordoun.

This year marks a significant commitment from our offices in Aberdeen to supporting mental health charities and organisations, with the aim of creating maximum impact across a number of local and regional initiatives rather than focussing on one cause. Through a combination of fundraising efforts and strategic financial support, Hunting Aberdeen is making strides to champion change in the mental health sector.

This year, the Charity Committee has been actively involved in a range of impactful activities:

June

  • The Kiltwalk

A team of five Hunting employees, with moral support and from friends and family, took on the challenge of walking 18 miles from Aberdeen to Banchory donning a touch of tartan and successfully raising £1,197 for Mental Health Aberdeen.

  • Summer Fundraisers

Euro Football sweeper and bake sale events collectively raised £1,139, with proceeds aiding mental health initiatives including donating £700 worth of Chromebooks and tablets to Penumbra Mental Health Aberdeen, and purchasing conferencing equipment for Horseback UK, a charity based in Aboyne that supports wounded veterans, individuals with PTSD, and disengaged school children through equine-assisted therapy.

Participants bravely descended the Northern Lights Tower in Aberdeen. At a towering 131 ft above ground, the efforts raised over £1,263 for the Mental Health Foundation.
